Dancing makes you happy.
Dancing is great for your happiness and your soul. Whether you are a child who is going to the local dance school, a professional dancer, someone who just takes class for fun, or someone who just enjoys dancing at the local disco on the weekends. Everyone who dances will benefit.
We all know that taking dance classes and dancing in general is great for your physical self and self-expression. But are you aware that it is great for your mental health, happiness, and of course your soul?
We all love to have a boogie under the mirror ball on the weekends to relieve the stresses from work. But if I told you that taking a weekly Jazz class, or Ballet class or even breaking out in a Hip Hop class. Would you believe me that this could be beneficial in holding off feelings of anxiety, and depression and help with growing your self-esteem and self-confidence?
Well, I hope you believe me as this my friend is real. There have been numerous studies that have overwhelming evidence that shows; dance can make you happy.
So the world should be dancing more, especially when it's as easy as finding your local dance school that is offering some classes, signing up, and then dancing. You can dance alone anywhere and everywhere, but you don't have to, grab some friends make it a social outin,g and dance your way to happiness.
If you still don't believe that dance can do this for you, I will explain a few examples of why it will bring you happiness.
We all have these, let's call them "friends' inside us called endorphins. When we exercise these little "friends," the endorphins, are released into our body. Now their job is to help us perceive less stress, and less pain, and lessen the depression and anxiety we may feel in our lives. What these endorphins do is tell our brains to calm down, relax, and enjoy our lives.
So that's why, when you are kicking up your heels and dancing for fun on the weekends, or jumping around in the class situation you feel so free and happy. These endorphins are doing their job.
Also, dancing will improve your self-esteem and self-confidence. Whether it is that you have more energy or you like the way your body is changing or you just feel more coordinated in everyday life, this is all an increase in your opinion of your self-worth. An increase in your self-worth is always a key to happiness.
Now taking a Dance class is an exhausting but exhilarating form of exercise, so after your nightly class, you are more likely to get a better night's sleep. We all know with a better night's sleep, we are all better people. Just another simple way that dance can increase energy and happiness into your life.
Now dance class is a social event. So interacting with people gets our endorphins going. At dance class, you're all there having fun, having a dance and soon your classmates become new friends. You make some new friends, and making new friends is the perfect way to increase your happiness.
Taking up some dance classes will give you increased self-confidence, boosting your happiness, expanding your friendships! It will help with your overall mental functioning, helping you think clearer with more assertiveness. The increase in self-confidence and self-esteem will greatly help you with your social skills and not just when there is a dance floor, where you can show off your best new moves. When you're feeling better about yourself, life feels better.
So get moving and feel the benefits of finding the inner dancer in you!
